RESIDENTIAL SERVICES FOR ADULTS

Arizona MENTOR is licensed by the Arizona Office of Behavioral Health as a Level 2 behavioral health residential agency. The residential services under our behavioral health program are designed to meet the needs of individuals (18 years and older) with complex mental health needs or other neurological challenges who require twenty-four hour supervision.  In addition we also provide residential services for individuals with a dual diagnosis of substance abuse and mental illness or other mental health challenges.

At Arizona MENTOR we strive to reduce behavioral symptoms and teach alternative strategies to help each individual we serve in this program develop skills to enable them to become more independent and improve their quality of life.  We provide a range of supports depending on the needs and age of each resident including individual or group counseling and ongoing treatment and assessments as well as access to on-site or on-call behavioral health professionals.   In addition we also offer assistance and training with:

  • Personal hygiene and personal care
  • Self-administration of medication according to the Office of Behavioral Health Licensing (OBHL) guidelines
  • Interpersonal relationships and effectiveness in social interactions
  • Self-direction and advocacy

Because each resident is unique, with his or her own strengths and challenges, our experienced staff develop and implement a personalized care and treatment plan to address issues relevant to the individual’s successful rehabilitation and ability to live and participate in community life.  And because all our programs focus on personal choice, each resident participates, to the maximum extent possible, not only in the development of his or her treatment plan, but in its implementation and periodic review and adjustment.
