Become a Mentor

Have you ever wanted the chance to positively impact the life of a child or bring joy and satisfaction to an individual with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities?  As a Mentor, you have that chance.

There is perhaps no opportunity as rewarding as one that helps an individual in need.  As a Mentor, you become teacher and caregiver to a vulnerable person one who needs you, your home and your heart.

Arizona MENTOR takes great pride in the families who comprise our Host-Home providers and values the tremendous skill, compassion and generosity that these families bring to the people we serve.  Each of our families is specially trained on our organization's innovative one-to-one model and assisted by our dedicated and knowledgeable staff.  Our Mentors represent a wide variety of cultural and ethnic groups, skills, educational backgrounds, neighborhood settings and family arrangements.  During our comprehensive recruitment process, our staff closely considers the personal characteristics of each Mentor in order to offer individuals a pool of families from which to choose the best possible "match."

To become a Mentor, you must be at least 21 years of age and have:
  • A demonstrated commitment to make a difference in someone's life

  • An extra bedroom for each individual
