Tiffany Sundstad, Area Director
Tiffany joined Arizona MENTOR in 2004 as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in one of our Group Homes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and was later promoted to the role of Lead DSP. Tiffany continued to assume roles of increased responsibility including serving as a Program Coordinator and later Program Director, before she moved into the role of Area Director for Arizona MENTOR’s Group Homes.
Tiffany says at Arizona MENTOR she has had the unique opportunity to help others while pursuing her own career goals in an organization committed to helping her succeed. She is rewarded each day, seeing the difference her work makes in the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“Arizona MENTOR has given me the opportunity to turn what once was a ‘job’ into a rewarding career. With a great support team and dedication to Arizona MENTOR’s values and goals, I continue to do what drives each and every one of us and make a positive difference in my consumers’ lives every day.”

Joann Gifford, Area Director
Joann came to Arizona MENTOR as a DSP in one of our Day Programs and quickly assumed the role of Lead DSP. After two years, she was promoted to Program Coordinator and shortly thereafter transitioned into our Group Home program, where she served as Program Director. Joann took on the position of Program Manager and was eventually promoted to her current position of Area Director for Group Homes.
Joann’s years of diverse experience serving individuals in both our residential and community-based programs has made her uniquely focused on the wide range of needs that adults and children with disabilities have. Her work with us has given her the chance to develop new skills and grow as leader. But what makes her excited to come to work each day is the knowledge that she is helping the individuals she serves reach their full potential.
“Working for Arizona MENTOR has given me the opportunity to grow and achieve my career goals and work with an excellent team every day. It has also given me the opportunity to make a difference and enhance the lives of the children and adults we serve.” -Joann Gifford
